The recommended scan type is "connect()", however other scan types can also be useful depending on the network of the target host, a "SYN Stealth" scan type can also prove to be useful when there's a firewall blocking the ports. To scan a host just enter the host name or the IP address in the box above and give a range of ports to scan, if the host has firewall enabled then you can try a different type of scan in the advance mode.
